For this project I asked people from all over the globe to draw a map of the world from memory. I received results from mountain people who drew each mountain in the world perfectly but not one country border, and found that Africa was the most forgotten continent. The drawings are in no way an accurate representation of the world but they do represent the world of the person who drew the picture. If maps have the power to structure the way we look at the world, the collection in The World’s World shows that people always adjust dominant world views to fit their needs. These maps were put together in a book.
